Friday Food Finds Vol 11
Hey Friends, it has been a while since I did a Friday Food Finds post. This week it is going to be different than the past ones. This week I want to share as many ways to support the Hospitality Industry, an industry I am very passionate about. There are so many out of work during this time, so many Go Fund Me Pages, ways to support local restaurants, etc...
First and foremost, know that if you can not spare a $1 that is totally understandable during this time, as many don't know where their next paycheck or meal may come from. You can certainly help by just sharing whether on your social media channels or in a text or email.
Through all of this, remember to Be Kind. We are all in this together. No one know what someone else is going through.
The first list, was created by the amazing Morgan Raum of @ToooMuchFoood. I have been following her for some time now and she put together such an extensive list of New York City Restaurant Fundraisers. She also created this list of NYC Restaurants offering delivery, so you can support local businesses.
Hunt & Fish Club in New York City holds a special place in my heart. I watched my sister get engaged there and enjoyed meals with girlfriends during Restaurant Week. They are hosting a GoFundMe to raise money to go directly to their staff that are out of work for the foreseeable future.
&Grain in in Garwood, New Jersey is giving Free Bread to the Elderly and anyone laid off. Call 232-2233 &Grain. You can also support through their GoFundMe.
If you haven't read yet about Federico's in Belmar, NJ you should right now. I will be buying a pizza next week to support this establishment. What the owner did, was truly remarkable; and how the people near and far are coming to support is even more amazing.
Austin, TX is lucky Jane, of @atasteofkoko. From sharing restaurants that offer curbside & takeout to creating Hundred for Hospitality.
