Luminaries at Brookfield Place

New York City offers so many different events during the holiday season. I love finding new things to see each holiday season and this year I heard about the Luminaries at Brookfield Place. With so many things to see in Midtown and both the Upper East and West side I tend to neglect downtown and this was the perfect excuse to head down to Battery Park.

Located across West Street from the World Trade Center, Brookfield Place is an office complex with a shopping center that overlooks the Hudson River. There are plenty of things happening throughout the holiday season, including one of the many ice skating rinks that city offers.

Luminaries, a holiday light installation designed by LAB Rockwell Group, is glowing lanterns suspended in the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place. Arts Brookfield partnered with the Grammy Museum for a 2nd year, to support music education programs, donating $1 for every wish made, up to $25,000. There are 3 Wishing Stations on the ground floor, which allows visitors to "send" a wish to the canopy of lanterns, that translates the wish into a mesmerizing display of lights and colors.

Here are a few more shots

The last photo is a view from the 2nd floor where Hudson Eats is located. Looking for a quick snack or a sit down meal you will be delighted with the choices such as; Skinny Pig, Dig Inn, Sprinkles, Umami Burger and more!

The Exhibit runs everyday from 8am-10pm through January 5th 2018. Be sure to check the schedule as other holiday events are also happening!

What is one exhibit you would like to see this year?

XoXo,
Tracy
