Easy Ways to Give Back, Spread Joy This Holiday Season & Everyday!

                                                                       Happy Holidays!

I can't think of a better way to kick of the first day of December and the 2020 holiday season than with Giving Tuesday! We could all use some cheering up right now, couldn't we?

Seeing many out there volunteering and donating to causes near and dear to you are inspiring and truly wonderful. For those still looking to get involved this holiday season, I wanted to round up a few ways and share them. We are all facing something this holiday season and financially we may not be in a spot to make a monetary donation, and that is totally OK. There are so many other small ways to spread joy, give back, and make and impact on others.

From donating your time, or specific skills to $5 for a cup of coffee or even just a compliment to someone you are bound to spread the love and joy this holiday season.

The picture above is from crowdsourcing on Facebook to pick up donations, contactless to be delivered to two different local Food Banks. Check with your local food bank to see what they are accepting and if you have a few items in your pantry it is a great way to make a difference. If you have kids, you can make an Advent Calendar where each day in December instead of opening it, you put a can in a box and on the 24th you donate them to your local Food Bank.

I recently learned that some Animal and Homeless Shelters have created Amazon Wishlist's for items they are in desperate need of, which is an easy and quick way to make a contribution this year.

Give a stranger a compliment, you would be surprised how much of a smile that can put on their face. It's easy and free and both the recipient and the person who give the compliment will have brighter day, I can almost guarantee it.

Here are two awesome ladies also spreading joy and kindness this season, Jess Keys & Meaghan

As an amateur photographer, I have offered free photos for friends during the holidays or taken a photo of their house all decorated! It's the small acts of kindness that go a long way, especially in 2020. SAHP with remote learning can be overwhelming to many, so any small gesture will go a long way, believe me I know as I have had conversations with friends in this exact situation.

Sharing on Social Media, will cost you NOTHING. It will however give an organization or small business some great free publicity, which they can all use during the holiday season, and now especially. Share a link, comment on a post or even send the link to someone you may know who is interested in their product or services. IT'S ALL FREE!

Whatever you do this holiday season, I would love to know. Share in the comments!

Have a wonderful Holiday Season!

XoXo,

Tracy
