Checking In: AC Hotel by Marriott New York Downtown
My first memory of travel includes staying in hotels, swimming in the indoor pool, and running through the hallways. Whenever my family would travel we would stay at Marriott properties, as my dad was a rewards member for his extensive travels.
That is just one of the reasons I went to college for Hospitality Management and today work for a hotel brand. Marriott is known for top notch customer service, attention to detail, and wide array of different properties.

Located steps from the South Street Seaport this new hotel (opened Nov 2018) is situated right in the heart of downtown Manhattan and the Financial District. Easy access to Wall Street, the nearby East River Brooklyn Bridge, and the World Trade Center make this a prime location for both business and solo travelers. With restaurants such as Industry Kitchen, Locanda Verde, and Cipriani you have so many options to choose from.
Don't want to leave the hotel, check out the AC Lounge for a drink to satisfy any palette. Pre-brunch, grab breakfast at the AC Kitchen.

If you are looking to spend time in the room, book the King Terrace River View. You can take in the views of the East River as well as overlook the seaport on your private balcony. Want a river view, minus the balcony, that too is available. My view was complimentary from a colleagues friend, which was super nice.

The AC Kitchen serves a European inspired breakfast each morning for the cost of $25.00 USD. From artisan meats to domestic cheese and fresh bake croissants there is something for everyone. There was even NUTELLA next to the toast!!!
There is ample seating for breakfast from the bar to tables and the cute comfy couches below. The staff was super friendly and attentive.

You may need a workout after that filling breakfast. Stop by the Fitness center which is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, that is equipped with free weights and cardiovascular equipment.
If you are looking for convenient in location, the right price, and a comfortable place to lay your head then I highly recommend the AC Hotel New York Downtown.
What is your favorite Marriott Brand to stay at?
XoXo,
Tracy
